Crafty Chameleon
Located on James Gichuru road, Crafty Chameleon is both an outdoor & indoor restaurant which I really love - you get the best of both worlds 😊
I like the name too, nice play on words; Crafty i.e. Craft beer which they make in house btw and crafty - chameleons can be crafty little creatures … well that’s what I understood from the name, maybe they have a whole different meaning to it.
Salty Squid - Diani
This is one of my favourite places to eat at in Diani, I’m surprised it’s taken me so long to write about it! Also - fun fact, it’s a sister restaurant to Funky Monkey, didn’t know that until just the other day😄.
Salty Squid can be found along Diani beach road and the first thing you notice when you get here is the stunning ocean view! The restaurant opens up into a vast compound filled with vibrant seating areas, you can choose from the standard dining tables to the community style booths with very comfy cushions that will really ignite the itis after your meal😅
Funky Monkey - Diani
Funky Monkey is a nice little spot along Diani beach road. I’ve been to Diani many times but I have never been here so I was very excited to have lunch here.
It was an overcast day so I didn’t get to capture its vibrancy as much had it been sunny. That aside - it’s still very well put together, tropical themes all through with the leso roofing, the vibrant murals on the walls and a nice open-air seating style.
Pili Pili - Kigali
This is my second visit to Kigali after very many years and of course I had to hit up some restaurants. First up being - Pili Pili, quite a popular bar and restaurant in Kigali. It feels like more of a lounge than a full on sit down restaurant.
The first thing I noticed was the outdoor sitting area - there’s plenty of day beds, a vast pool (that no one was in) and it opens up to a fantastic view of the city of Kigali.
