Best In The West - Negril
On the very first day landing in Negril we were famished and luckily this place was very close to our hotel - literally a 5 minute walk. It was also one of the places I had noted down while doing research for this trip as it came highly recommended in many travel groups.
Best in the West can be described as a street food restaurant that is right by the roadside along Negril’s Norman Manley Boulevard.
Miss T's Kitchen - Ocho Rios
We are in Ocho Rios today🇯🇲 Miss T’s Kitchen came highly recommended from the internets so I was excited to finally try it out. It’s such a vibrant place with so much colour and a little playground right at the entrance😊
The hostess we met at the door wasn’t in the best mood though, not sure why… she barely wanted to seat us yet the place was quite empty for a Sunday evening.
The Pelican Grill - Montego Bay
Starting the Jamaican series today is the Pelican Grill that is located right on the Hip Strip of Montego Bay, overlooking the sea. It’s a family owned restaurant that’s been in business since 1964, serving up authentic Jamaican food. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and didn’t find it too packed, which is nice. The decor feels very classic diner like, nice cosy booths with lots of room for big or small groups.
Jamrock
This place was such a great random find thanks to a friend of mine who is actually Jamaican. Jamrock is a literal hole in the wall type restaurant located at GW Brook Business Park. You can spot it immediately you enter because who’s gonna miss the international reggae colours of red, green and yellow?😊
They have quite limited seating both on the inside and the outside but you can sit in the main area of the courtyard and your order will still be brought to you there.
