Fiesta Farm
Fiesta Farm is located in the heart of Hardy, Karen. It’s quite a drive so prepare yourself accordingly in terms of time. The restaurant is set up on a vast compound which I assume also has the farm it’s named after. Loved the large amount of green space that people can use to chill in the sun, kids to play in… perfect for a sunny Sunday out.
Unfortunately we were there in the middle of June so it was the opposite of sunny - more like freezing, but because they know how to make their customers happy, there are plenty of Maasai blankets for you and your group to use to keep warm.
Sugar Bowl
We are in Spring valley today talking about Sugar Bowl - a very cute restaurant with a great menu to match. The decor is nice and simple and minimalist but also elegant - the warm lighting in various pockets of the restaurant particularly really caught my eye. Great lighting really makes or breaks a place. They have an upper and lower section with outside seating as well on both sections.
Yunion Brunch Café & Bar
Yunion is a brunch cafe and bar located at the GTC building in Westlands. It has a nice set up with both an indoor and outdoor section, outfitted very nicely, lots of greenery, lots of warm lighting - they also have a dinosaur statue outside which I found quite odd given their decor but I assume it has a purpose😄
Came here for an early brunch. Their menu seems to be a mix of Asian dishes, some continental dishes and Italian.
Traventure Cafe
Located in the leafy suburbs of Gigiri, Traventure cafe feels very welcoming from the onset and I think that’s mostly because it was someone’s home before. You get into the lobby/living room area and you’re immediately drawn to the back garden where the majority of the restaurant sits.
There’s lots of seating areas, lots of greenery, lots of grass and a swimming pool! So you can already tell this is a more big group, family style setting.
Cafe AMKA
Amka cafe is a very vibrant cafe located at Delta towers westlands. What I wasn’t expecting was walking through a gym to get to it lol. So is it part of the gym? They’re just sharing a floor? It’s very confusing.
Anyway… once you get past the gym part - you walk into the cafe which has both an indoor and patio section. I like the dark colour scheme they have going on with the pops of colour from the yellow cushion and the bright wood tables and chairs.
Wasp and Sprout
Today’s review is coming from deep in Loresho, at a nice little family run cafe. Wasp & Sprout has been around for quite a long time but I’ve never visited before. Mostly because years ago they had this thing about closing at 2pm on Sundays which I found odd because why offer brunch if you’re gonna close that early? So that put me off going there but now they’ve extended their hours and their menu has also expanded quite a bit too.
